The Welcome Wednesday Wacky Youth Club (WWYC) meets on a Wed evenings from 7:30 to 9:00pm during term time. It is open to all young people in school years 7 to 11 or a bit beyond.
Activities include table tennis, pool / snooker, badminton, board games and an opportunity to chat with friends. From time to time cooking is undertaken (no one has suffered food poisoning yet) and craft work. We also have a bouncy castle that comes out either inside or out the back occasionally. The outside play area has a safety play surface which allows for ball games to be played.

Other events have included :- a film night, Light Party Sleepover, meeting at the Promenade Park and, for some, attending the Methodist Church National Youth Weekend “3Generate” in November.

At a Sleep Over, based on the theme "The Earth Is The Lord's" (using the one from the Holiday Club) we held a Biodegradable Black Bin Bag Fashion Show, followed by decorating shirst with messages on saving our planet "Our Only Home" to quote from one of the shirts and then releasing biodegradable ballons with similar messages.
The club is self supporting via weekly subs, which each member is asked to pay. This covers the cost of equipment, refreshments, craft material, food ingredients and heating / lighting costs. For more information, please email the leaders at youthleader01@gmail.com
